Dr. Jeffrey Taylor Director of Technology
As the Director of Technology, I lead the department responsible for the acquisition, implementation, and maintenance of all of the informational, instructional, and operational technology throughout the school department. I am fortunate to be surrounded by the best in the business. We have a top notch group of technicians, clerks, and coordinators who strive each day to support all students, teachers, and families throughout the district. I began my career in the Warwick Public School Department over 20 years ago serving as a Math Teacher at Winman Middle School (then Junior High). From day one it was clear that Warwick was a special community. We have a highly talented group of educators, exceptional students, and caring families. After my time at Winman, I went on to serve as the Math Department Chair at Aldrich, and then as the Principal of Gorton Junior High School.
The students, families, colleagues, and community. I have genuinely enjoyed my time working with my many colleagues, both past and present. Together we have and continue to work to help support the students and families of Warwick. When outside of work, you can usually find me at an ice rink or a lacrosse field cheering on my daughters, both of who play ice hockey and lacrosse. Additionally, I like to stay active teaching, serving as an adjunct professor of Mathematics at CCRI. I also volunteer with various youth organizations, and serve as a vice-chair for the board overseeing middle school sports for the state.

Kimberly ruggieri director of human resources
What is your role at Warwick Public Schools? I am the Director of Human Resources for the district. Me and my fabulous team are responsible for staffing the district and providing the necessary guidance and support of our valued employees. What motivates you to work for Warwick Public Schools? I am born and bred Warwick. My children, my husband, and I are all proud graduates of this school district. I have great pride in our community and genuinely care about the staff and students. I spent the first part of my Warwick career in the classroom as a Teacher Assistant caring for the students. Now that my focus in this role has shifted to the staff side of operations, I have been able to apply the same level of caring and support to the adults so they can provide services to the students.
What is your favorite thing about Warwick? I love the sense of pride and community here in Warwick. There are so many dedicated and talented people in all areas - WISE, WTU, Admin, and subs. The dedication and care for student learning here are remarkable. I have met so many amazing people who are lifelong friends. I have been able to grow both personally and professionally in every role I have played in this district. How do you enjoy spending your time outside of work? Spending time with my family and friends definitely tops the list! We are currently wedding planning for my daughter which is lots of fun. You will find me on a cruise ship whenever I can be, or at the bowling alley with my husband. Let’s not forget about baking cookies, a favorite past-time!

Gary Coppolino director of special services
As Director of Special Services my role is to oversee our special education programming, act as our 504 coordinator, as well as supervise our School Nurse Teachers and Mental Health staff. I absolutely love the pride this community has. Coming from out of state, I was looking for a place that reminded me of home. I was looking for a place that made me feel the pride I had in the community I grew up in and Warwick has been that place to me.
Again, I love the pride this community has. Being in a place where people take such great pride in their community is extremely powerful and inspiring to me. The sense of community that I feel when I am here is like nothing I have ever experienced. At the end of the day I am happiest when I am with my wife and kids and just enjoying whatever adventure we have planned.

We wanted to take a moment to introduce our SEL Coordinator, Kristin Murray! "Social emotional learning is the process of developing skills that help you communicate, collaborate, and problem-solve effectively with others. When children have the opportunity to practice and develop these skills, they become more confident and successful in their learning. As the SEL Coordinator, I provide support to all of our schools in developing and using the most effective SEL practices that can be easily integrated into academic content." Learn more about all the wonderful ways we support our students and how Mrs. Murray is leading these efforts as they pertain to student's social & emotional well-being on our website: www.warwickschools.org/page/mtss-sel
