Good Morning Park Parents/Guardians,

Due to the inclement weather, we will be having indoor Arrival.  Please see below for updated inclement weather morning arrival procedures:

Students will be dropped off by their parent/guardian on the side of the all purpose room at Door B9.
Students will get out of their vehicles and proceed through the fence opening and enter Park Elementary through Door B9.  Adult faculty/staff members will be there in high-vis vests to support guiding traffic and students.
Upon entering Door B9, students will then proceed forward toward the All Purpose Room.
Once your child is out of the vehicle, please proceed forward to the back parking lot to turn around through the morning arrival traffic loop and proceed toward the exit.

Good Morning Park Parents/Guardians,

Due to the inclement weather and wet conditions this morning, students who are being driven to school or walking to school will be going into the all purpose room through door C13 in the rear of the building. You may walk your child to the door, but we ask that you stay outside of the building. Your child will enter into the all purpose room and be picked up from there by their classroom teacher to be brought to class this morning. Thank you for your understanding in regards to morning arrival today.

Tomorrow Feb. 11th is the 100th Day of school. Staff and students are welcome to wear their best 100 year old person costume to school. I can't believe it is already 100 days!.

Students and staff will wear as much PINK as possible to bring awareness to this serious issue that impacts all of us in some way. Park Open House scheduled for Thursday September 26th. Open House Schedule: 5-5:15 PM Start the evening with Mr. Sylvestre in the multi-purpose room for an overview of the year ahead (parking is limited please use parking in City Park or walk in if possible). 5:15-6:00PM Your student(s) will tour you around the building visiting and introducing you to their teacher be sure to stop by the Art room, library, music room and PE gym. This is an opportunity to meet our staff and see your child's classrooms and work spaces. If you would like to discuss your child's academics for privacy please arrange for a separate meeting with your child's teacher. Please stay with your child(ren) and supervise them at all times (walking through the building with calm bodies and inside voices is always appreciated).The building will be closed at 6:00 except for restrooms by the playground entrance.. No food while in the building. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. 6:00-7:00 PM PTO will kick off the school year with Laid Back Fitness on the back field and an Ice Cream truck will be selling ice cream treats. We look forward to welcoming you into our school and appreciate your participation in our learning community. See you next Thursday at Open House!

Morning recess has been cancelled the last two days due to wet grass. The grass drys out by lunch and we have been going out for lunch recess. We try to get students out as much as possible. It's hard when the weather is nice but the grass is wet and would soak our students feet for the day. We have to balance fun and comfort for our students. Thanks for your understanding.

Out of an abundance of caution and due to the predicted excessive heat on Thursday June 20th Park will be dismissing students 2 1/2 hours early. Students will be dismissed at 11:35 AM. Please be sure to make arrangements for your child(ren) to be picked up at school or their bus stop as needed. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please review your child's report card that will be sent home with your child. Report cards are still available for viewing on the Aspen Family portal as well. Talk to your child about their report card. Point out their strengths and discuss some goals and things to practice for the summer and next school year. Please help your child access their summer work. The work is meant to help students stay sharp with their academic skills to minimize the summer slide. So when they return in the fall the review time is less and teachers can move forward with new challenges. Try to make the summer learning fun not forced. Students that complete their summer work will be invited to an Ice cream party and/ or a pizza party. It will be a Blast! The Park main office will be open until July 3rd after school is closed. After that date all other inquiries can be made to the Warwick Public Schools Central Office. The first day of school year 2024-25 will be Aug. 29th. We want to wish everyone a happy and healthy summer!

Unfortunately we have to cancel our end of year picnic tonight 6/14/2024 due to the anticipated thunderstorms. Sorry for the disappointment but this event has a set up and breakdown that would be challenging with lightning. We had a great day at school with Field Day and a visit from Kona Ice. The children I'm sure are exhausted and could use the down time with family. Again sorry for any inconvenience. We will not be re-scheduling this event.
