Dear Warwick Families,

From April 25th - May 3rd, our teachers and students will be taking the Panorama Social Emotional Learning Survey.

In grades 3-12, we ask your child to reflect on their mindsets and approaches to learning via an online survey.  In kindergarten through second grade, teachers will complete a very brief perception survey for their students.  This survey is completed two times a school year and takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

The survey topics were thoughtfully selected based on the identified priority areas in our  District Strategic Plan.  Below are the four topics and a brief description.

  1. Social Awareness - How well students consider the perspectives of others and empathize with them.

  2. Learning Strategies - How well students deliberately use strategies to manage their own learning processes generally.

  3. Emotion Regulation - How well students regulate their emotions.

  4. Supportive Relationships - How supported students feel through their relationships with friends and adults at school.

We are asking that all of our students participate in the surveys, as their responses will provide invaluable insights into their experiences and how we can improve and adapt our district to their needs.  If a student doesn’t feel they have enough information to answer a question, they can skip the item altogether. Below are examples of each survey based on the student’s grade.

  • Teacher Perception of Student

Grades Kindergarten - Grade 2

  • SEL Student Survey

Grades 3 -5

Grades 6-12

If you do not want your child(ren) to take this survey, please visit the Aspen family portal and check no.  If you do not check no, your child will be included in the survey.  If you have any questions about the SEL survey, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s school principal or visit the Warwick Public Schools SEL website.

Sincerely,

Warwick Public Schools
