Rylan Kabalkin, and Aaron McAllister

We are also thrilled to announce that Toll Gate's own Library/Media Specialist, Mrs. Buffington, was named NHD Teacher of the Year for Rhode Island!

Congratulations to all!

Our First Place winners will now go on to represent Rhode Island and Toll Gate High School at the National Finals, June 8–12, 2025, at the University of Maryland. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share their research on a national stage, meet peers from across the country, and experience the academic challenge and pride that come with competing at this level.

But we need your help to get them there.

Travel, lodging, meals, and registration fees add up quickly. Your donation-no matter the amount-will help defray the cost of this incredible educational experience for four deserving young historians.

Please consider contributing to support their journey. Every dollar brings them one step closer to Nationals! Thank you for your consideration!
