There will be a FREE flu vaccine clinic happening in Warwick soon.
Here’s some important information about the FREE flu vaccine clinic:
• Register online at www.schoolflu.com to schedule an appointment.
• Online registration is required to ensure the availability of the vaccine.
• Insurance information will be collected, but the vaccine is FREE whether you have insurance or not.
The flu is a serious, highly contagious, and sometimes deadly disease. Catching the flu means missing days of work and school. You might even have to spend time in the hospital. Don’t take the risk — the flu vaccine is your best protection against the flu.

We had a visitor this morning -- if someone is missing their very cute bulldog he is at Norwood School. We did call animal control. He is currently in the playground.

Due to the heat WPS has chosen early dismissal for tomorrow September 7th 2023. All schools will be in session for 3 hours. Norwood school will start at 9am as usual and end at 12pm. Please plan accordingly as we will be dismissing all students at that time. Boys and Girls Club will only be open in the morning and closed in the afternoon. All students will receive lunch. Lunch will start an hour earlier.

Oakland Beach & Norwood Elementary Schools are each looking for a coordinator to set up afterschool programming for students Monday - Thursday throughout the school year. This position will include reaching out to local organizations like the Zoo & Mobile Quest to facilitate afterschool programming for students as well as working with teachers who would like to run clubs for students. The hours are M-TH from early afternoon to early evening (while the programs are running, plus some planning time). These are part-time positions with a generous salary, are you interested?
