High school seniors sought for National Youth Science Camp

Applications are now being accepted from high school seniors in the class of 2019 to represent Rhode Island at the 2019 National Youth Science Camp (NYSCamp). Two students from each state, Washington, D.C, and eight countries will attend the all-expenses-paid program which is held from June 27 through July 20, 2019. The NYSCamp is a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) program hosted in the eastern mountains of West Virginia. Students will have an opportunity to conduct research at the nearby Green Bank Observatory and to explore the surrounding Monongahela National Forest through backpacking, mountain biking, caving, rock-climbing, and kayaking.
