Summer Food Program Feeds Kids FOR FREE
Warwick, RI – With summer here, it’s time to think about keeping your children healthy while school is out. Aramark, in partnership with Warwick Public Schools, will be providing free meals to children in the Warwick community this summer, at 11:30 a.m. outside the Department of Human Services Office at 195 Buttonwoods Ave, Warwick RI 02886.
This site will be open and serving free meals Monday through Friday during the summer months – from July 5th through August 24th – meals will be available from 11:30am to 12:30pm. There are no income requirements or registration; any child under age 18 may come to eat. The site is open to the community at large and may only limit the site’s total enrollment for reasons of security, safety, or control.
Lunches will be provided on a first come first served basis for the above specified dates and time frames. Please note that all meals must be consumed on site for food safety reasons.
Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations like Aramark-Warwick Public Schools to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer. For more information about the national Summer Food Service Program, visit http://www.fns.usda.gov/
