Christopher Rhodes Elementary School

“A Feinstein Leadership School”

2007-2008

The Feinstein Jr. Scholars at Christopher Rhodes School have been working diligently throughout the first two quarters with many Feinstein Good Deeds Projects.  As a Feinstein Leadership School, we are committed to teaching our students to be caring of others.

Mr. Alan Shawn Feinstein visited our school and encouraged our students to continue with their generous and caring Good Deeds.  The students were so excited to meet and listen to Mr. Feinstein.

In October the Feinstein Jr. Scholars at Christopher Rhodes School held their 1st of the year 2007-2008 Feinstein Jr. Scholar Good Deeds/Youth Hunger Brigade Project.

On October 26, 2007 the Feinstein Jr. Scholars at Christopher Rhodes School held an assembly with Dr. Tim Warren for their 2007-2008 Feinstein Jr. Good Deeds Project.

During the week of December 3, 2007 The Feinstein Jr. Scholars at Christopher Rhodes School created many different crafts to sell on December 18, 2007 for our Santa’s Workshop.

The Feinstein Jr. Scholars at Christopher Rhodes School held a “Crazy Hair Day” to raise money for the “Toys For Tots” Campaign.

The Feinstein Jr. Scholars at Christopher Rhodes School created beautiful Happy Holiday Cards for our recovering American injured soldiers.

In December 2007 The Feinstein Jr. Scholars at Christopher Rhodes School had a “Dress Down Day” to raise money for the Elizabeth Buffum Chace House.

In March 2008 The Feinstein Jr. Scholars at Christopher Rhodes School had a Food Drive “Hunger Brigade”.  Mr. Alan Shawn Feinstein came to C. Rhodes School to kick-off the Food Drive and speak to the Junior Scholars.  The whole school participated in this drive. The students wore their “Junior Scholar” sweatshirts and brought in a canned good for the Food Drive.  The Faculty and Staff also wore their “Leadership” sweatshirts to support the drive as well.  We have 21 boxes stuffed with can goods to be picked up by the Food Bank.

We would like to thank Mr. Alan Shawn Feinstein for his generous gift of sweatshirts to all the children, faculty and staff.  Your generosity and devotion to our children are unparalleled to anything our school has experienced.
