ATTENDANCE

Students are expected to attend school and be punctual!

State of RI Regulations require that home/school communication (telephone) take place every morning whenever a child does not attend school.

Parents are urged to call between the hours of 8:00 am and 9:00 am.

A written excuse is also required of the parent/guardian when the child is late or absent. This excuse should include:.

1) Child's name/Teacher's name
2) Reason for absence/tardiness
3) Date(s) of absence/tardiness

SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS

In the event of an emergency closing or early dismissal of school, please instruct your child regarding the following:

1) The quickest and safest way home.
2) To whom he/she should report if you are not home.

Buses will run as usual

BUS TRANSPORTATION

Bus transportation is a privilege. Students riding the bus must comply with the rules and regulations enforced by the bus driver.

BICYCLE POLICY

Children in grades 4-6 may be given the privilege of riding their bicycles to school. A copy of Park School's bicycle policy is available in the office. Parents must sign a written permission slip and return it to the school.

It is strongly recommended that the children wear helmets!.

Because of the heavy traffic flow, we ask that all parents follow the designated pattern of traffic and drive slowly and cautiously.
