As we work to conclude our school year there are a number of items that are more important now than ever. Please take some time to review your child’s report card and inquire with your child’s teacher if you have any concerns about his or her grades. Although there is still time to work to improve any concerning grades, that window is quickly closing. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Another major part of ensuring a successful end to the school year is the students’ behavior. Mr. Coffey, the assistant principal, conducted two assemblies (one for grade seven and the other for grade eight), reviewing with them the policies and protocols of the school. To view a copy of the presentation, please download it here. Since we have a number of exciting events for the students coming up at the end of the year that we would like all of them to participate in, please review this presentation with your children to ensure that they have their social privileges needed in order to fully participate.

The eighth grade students have begun a period of time in which they will be completing two state tests. The first is the Technology Literacy test which will be administered to half of the eighth grade (as the other half completed this at the midpoint of the year) and the second is the Science NECAP Testing, which will be conducted on May 15, 16, and 17, with makeup days to follow. As with any important assessment, we ask for your help and support in ensuring that your children are well rested and ready to do their best.

As always, thanks so much for your support. If you have any questions, please never hesitate to contact the school.
