Gorton collected over
1000 canned goods during the month of November
this year... Stop and Shop has generously helped. We
will again collect cans in March for the Hunger Brigade.
We have recently been designated as a Feinstein
Leadership School, and Mr. Feinstein has generously
offered to donate $1 per can to Gorton Junior High
School.

Team Schmeider ~ October 2012
Teachers
and faculty at Gorton Junior High School had a Team
Schmeider day to help raise over $650.00 for Mr.
Schmeider who has been out ill since August. A
team of teachers played in the Ragball Tournament
which was held on Saturday, October 13th. The
tournament raised over $23,000 to be donated to the
George Schmeider Fund which will help pay for his medical
and rehabilitation bills.
