The guidance and counseling program at Gorton Junior High focuses on the rapidly changing needs of adolescents.  These changing needs can affect every aspect of a young person's life. Counselors assist them in balancing these needs within the school setting.

The guidance department focuses on development in three major areas: academic achievement, career awareness, and personal/social development.

Parents who wish to speak with one of us or to schedule a team conference, please call 734-3356.

Students may stop in the Guidance office at anytime during the school day to request a conference.  

Gorton Junior High has a zero tolerance for bullying.
