On Friday, March 7th, the Foreign Language Department held its second Annual Carnaval & Mardi Gras celebration. All foreign language teachers have been conducting cultural lessons on the significance of this celebration in both the French and Spanish cultures.

As a culminating event, the students planned their own celebration. Students were given permission to wear appropriate costumes to school that day. They made masks and noise makers in their foreign language class... then conducted a parade through the hallways at school accompanied by music broadcasted throughout the school over the p.a. system.  The school lined the hallways to help participate in the celebration.
