2. We envision our schools being transformed into learning centers at which:

• Appropriate technology resources are found at the places where instruction occurs.

• Technology is integrated into everyday instructional processes.

• Technology resources are accessible for students, teachers, administrators, and parents.

• Students have live, interactive adventures around the country and around the world without leaving the classroom.

• Students have live interaction with content matter specialists and field experts in cultural topics, science and math disciplines, and languages.

• Students will explore and experience events which could not normally take place in a traditional classroom setting, through appropriate simulation technologies and software.

• Technology will help to address the individual needs of all students, regardless of their individual abilities.

• Students will have opportunities to receive hands-on training for employment and post-secondary education by using appropriate technologies.

• Media centers are stocked with multimedia tools for classroom use (videos, laser disks, software, etc.) that will enable students and teachers to experience varied and multiple ways of learning.

• There is an adequate supply of Information Age tools that increase human productivity, promote creativity, and extend the ability to communicate ideas, concepts, and feelings.

• the need for technology will be driven by curricular concerns, not technology for technology's sake.

• the primary use of technology in education is to meet the needs of all learners, whatever their abilities, now matter how they come to us.

• strategic planning will be an ongoing process by which Warwick creates and sustains its vision for the appropriate use of technology in our schools.

• the implementation of any plan requires the committing of substantial human and financial resources.

• there is no need to jump on every new and emerging technology bandwagon, but...

• there is a need to stay on the cutting edge.

• central to the success of any educational plan is ongoing, systematic staff development.
