Dear Norw= ood Families:

 

I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable summer vacati= on and that your children are eager to return to school.  The teachers and staff have been w= orking hard during the past two weeks in preparation of their arrival.

 

Mr. Ed Minett and Mr. John= Rowan have done a marvelous job throughout the summer months to get Norwood looking shipshape.  I encourage us all to help them ke= ep Norwood looking as= it does now. 

 

Starting a= nd dismissal times will remain the same.  School will&nbs= p; begin at 8:55 a.m. and be dismissed at 3:05 p.m. <= /u>

 

STUDENTS W= ILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON SCHOOL GROUNDS BEFORE  8:35 A.M.  THIS IS A SAFETY PRECAUTION AS THE= RE WILL BE NO YARD SUPERVISION BEFORE THIS TIME.

 

  If your child is going to the brea= kfast program, it starts at 8:30 a.m. 

 

The price of hot lunch is $2.50; breakfast will be $1.= 85.  Reduced lunch will remain at $.40 = and reduced breakfast at $.30.  Mi= lk purchased separately will cost $.60.

 

Please tak= e the time to read the Norwood<= /st1:PlaceName> School Student Hand= book that will be brought home by your child.&n= bsp; All pertinent school information is addressed in it, including the v= ery important traffic pattern.

 

There are man= y forms that need to be filled out and returned to school.  Please do so as soon as possible a= s many contain information needed in case of emergency.  We need to know how to contact you= if necessary.  Insurance payments should be returned to school by Tuesday, September 28th.

 

 I am con= fident that the students of Norwood will have a productive year emotionally, socially, cognitively and physical= ly.

 

The PTA wo= uld like to extend an invitation to all parents for a short “Welcome Back̶= 1; coffee and refreshment get together on the first day of school at 9:00 a.m.= in the All Purpose Room.  At this time, your child’s class and teacher will be posted.

 

I look forward to meeting all families, old and new du= ring the next few weeks and anticipate a wonderful Open House and PTA meeting on September 17, 2009 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.  As always, please feel free to vis= it or call if you have any questions or concerns.
