Partnership Programs With the Business Community

 

  • Junior Achievement: Professionals from the business community and trained secondary students conduct classes to prepare students for the transition of school-to-work.

  • The Mentor Program: Professionals from the community trained by the Warwick Chamber Education Foundation to mentor a child weekly during the school day. Home/School Partnership

    Other Programs and Events...

     

  • PTO: The Lippitt School PTO meets on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

  • School Improvement Committee and Action Planning Teams.

  • Open House Program: Held early in the Fall. Come in and meet your child's teacher.

  • Parent Teacher Conferences: Meet with your child's teacher by appointment.

  • Cultural Arts Programs: Coordinated by the PTO cultural arts committee

  • Family Activities: Dances, outings, and fund raising events planned by various committees of the PTO and faculty.

  • Kids Day: The annual Kindergarten orientation day

  • Monthly Newsletter: A calendar of events, announcements, kids in the news, descriptions of new programs and events, and articles of interest for children, parents, and teachers.

  • VOWS (Volunteers Of Warwick Schools): A successful and well established program that has been providing volunteers to the schools for many years.

     

    Extracurricular Programs

  • ALAP : Accelerated Learning Activities Program

  • Chorus: Grade six students perform for their school and the community.

  • Instrumental Music Instruction: For students of grades 4, 5, and 6.

  • School Safety Patrol:  An AAA sponsored program that trains older students to help fellow students to cross streets and to ride the bus in a safe manner.
