POSITION:
Director, Warwick Area Career & Technical Center

260 Days Per Year
SALARY:
Commensurate with School Committee Administrative Pay Policy
In filling this position, the District is
interested in a candidate who is a highly motivated person and
one who can work effectively with students, parents and teachers
of high school and pre-high school age. In light of this need,
the following information is provided:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates interested in this position will
be considered on the basis of the following qualifications:
1.
An earned Master’s Degree at an accredited institution
with a major in Administration and Supervision.
2.
Advanced study beyond the M.A. Degree with evidence of
commitment to furthering his/her educational background in the
area of Career Education.
3.
Hold or be eligible for a Rhode Island certificate as a
Secondary Principal.
4.
Proven leadership ability/experience.
5.
A minimum of seven years experience at the secondary
level.
6.
Evidence of knowledge, skills and understanding of
Vocational Education.
7.
Demonstrated ability to utilize technology in the
teaching and learning process.
8.
Highly motivated to working with students teachers and
business (industry representatives).
9.
Demonstrated evidence of good communication skills and
team building.
10.
Knowledge of administering and writing of grants.
11.
Dedication to the “Administrative Team” approach and
familiarity with the School Improvement Team Process.
